The Poolbeg Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) facility, a 299 MW power plant, is being developed by ESB at the Poolbeg site in Dublin, Ireland, to support the integration of renewable energy sources and provide flexible generation capabilities.  It will utilise an AE94.3A gas turbine and associated generator.  The project is part of the wider Poolbeg Framework Development Plan, which considers the growth of the city eastward to its sea border.

Scope of Work

  • Attending our CFA rigs and taking the spoil away from the rigs to a stockpile
  • Forming piling platforms with 6F2 – importing and placing
  • Moving track mats around
  • Excavating and digging out works
  • Muckaway off site (circa 3000-4000m3)
  • Breaking down piles
  • Excavating around piles to allow testing
  • Grading of the site upon finalisation
  • General earthworks
  • Setting up welfare
  • General other civils attendances
