M&N Civil Engineering was founded in February 2004 by Managing Director Manus McGarvey. M&N have worked on some the biggest projects in Ireland ranging from large data centres, commercial office & retail projects, private & public residential housing & large Infrastructure Projects.
Here at M&N, we pride ourselves on being a reliable company, with a reputation for completing every job to the highest standards. We strive to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction and build long-term business relationships.
Our experience, expertise and close attention to detail ensure that we complete the task efficiently and in the most cost effective manner possible, whilst adhering to strict health and safety regulations.

Our Timeline
M&N Groundworks Est.
Founded in Donegal in 2004 by Manus McGarvey, M&N began with one employee, Tomas McFadden, who proudly remains with the company today, reflecting our strong values and long-standing team culture.
Opened HQ in Dublin
In 2008, M&N expanded operations by opening a new headquarters in Dublin, positioning the company for continued growth and enabling closer collaboration with key clients and partners across the Greater Dublin Region.
Data Centre, Dublin
Delivered complex civil works for a 24,000m² Data Centre , including deep drainage (5–8m), fibre optic and MV/LV ducting - marking M&N’s move into high-spec, technically demanding projects.
Basement Excavation
M&N completed an extensive bulk dig, excavating 73,000m3 in an 8m dig, for the ESB New flagship office development located in Dublin city centre.
ISO Certification
M&N reached a milestone in it’s operational systems with certification of ISO 9001: Quality Management system, ISO 45001: Health & Safety Management Systems and ISO 14001: Environmental Management System.
M&N Civil Rebranded
As the business evolved, M&N Groundworks rebranded to M&N Civil Engineering Ltd, reflecting our continued growth, technical expertise, and expanded service offering across complex infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
Ballymastone Project
Delivered bulk excavation and soil stabilisation, major utilities and drainage, road construction, and complex service diversions - supporting regional infrastructure with 24,000m² of roads, 15km of drainage, and 17km of ducting.
